The Town Hall of Courcelles in the Loiret received us very warmly and prepared us a friendly weekend.

On Saturday, after the reception at the town hall, everyone made contact with their host. A big thank you to all those people without whom this weekend could not have taken place. Then we went to Boynes for a visit to the saffron museum. Visit very interesting especially, as was the case, when it is commented by enthusiasts. In addition to saffron, a local specialty, we were able to see the many objects related to local agriculture with the anecdotes related to it. Then, it was in Pithiviers that we discovered the great organs of the 18th century and their immense musical register with its different styles depending on the eras but also the work done on the instrument over time. The very talented organist, Damien Colcomb, won over his audience and presented a valuable concert. Monique Bévière Regional Councillor and President of the Country was present. Before nightfall, we had an aperitif at the Caillettes lookout located in the heart of the Orleans forest. Arriving at the summit, we listened to the comments of Mr. Guy de Fougeroux, President of the SAFO (Society of Friends of the Forest of Orleans) on the local flora and fauna and admired the landscape that stretched to infinity. At the foot of this lookout, everyone has made an appointment for the aperitif. Note the presence of Christian Barrier President of the community of communes, Michel Grillon Vice President of the General Council , Philippe Fournier-Montgieux Sous Prefect and Jean-Pierre Sueur, Senator. At the end of the evening, we shared a friendly buffet prepared by our guests in Courcelles.

After a night at the home as usual, the general assembly was held in the communal party room in the presence of Marianne Dubois MP. After breakfast, we visited the communal buildings: St. Hubert's Chapel, St. James's Church, Town Hall, Washhouse. The Association of Courcelles offered lunch at the restaurant L'Estaminet in Vitry aux Loges and then we boarded in Sigloy on replicas of old boats used for navigation on the Loire. The weather being ideal for this kind of activity, it was a pleasure to listen to the comments of our boatmen on the Loire, its use, its fauna and its flora. More than two hours of happiness!
